Day 15: Yellowstone National Park, WY, USA

Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park – it was established 1872. It is a very unique place with strange geothermal features. I am not specialist so check Wikipedia if you’re craving for more information :) Probably the most visited and photographed sight in the park is Old Faithful Geyser that erupts approximately in every 90 minutes. I found all the colours and shapes of geothermal pools more exciting, though. The one in this photo is called Abyss Pool and I just love all the different tones in it. I have seen some pictures of it before and it seems to be changing colours quite a lot.

Regards.
Daniel.

Marko,
Wonderful, sharp colors! Great framing of the pool. Great contrast in the sky between the clouds and blue sky. You can even see the depth of the pool. Fantastic--
Dave

I absolutely love everything about this picture. The skies and the colors are amazing. I also took couple pictures of the same source, check them out!

Spectacular image. I would say, photo of the week. There are so many things to judge from this picture. First, the quality is just great: sharpness and clean. Second, the definition of the clouds are amazing which you can see the shape of the clouds so well. Third, the colors are very rich, vivid and vibrant. The shape of the pond is resemble to the that of clouds. Very nice. Sothy

Wow.. this is a very goo photo.. like a postcard. The green, yellow contrasts well with blue sky.

Marco,
I loved the different tonalities between deep green and vivid yellow in the water, blue sky complete the perfect color combination in the picture.

Terve Marko,
Blue of the sky is really beautiful ! also emerald green of Abyss Pool. You know very well the art of handling colours.
Superb work with super-fine detail.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Incredible colors! The polarising filter is a must to see under water probably!

Hi Marko,

Very nicely composed. The blue sky really makes the foreground colors pop. Nice touch including the person on the observation platform.

Cheers!
