Photographer’s Note
There are two barns that can be photographed easily that make up part of what is now called Mormon Row. It is located about 7-8 miles north of Jackson Wyoming. The area was settled by Mormons around the turn of the last century and in the BG is the Teton Range located in what is now Grand Teton NP. The best time to photograph these barns is early morning at sunrise. You also get to meet some other photographers at that time of day since no one else would get up this early and freeze their buns off.

Morning is definitely the best time. I have this somewhere on my HD. The colour of the old wood soaks up the golden light perfrctly. Well done

Hi Phil. It sure was worth it, your morning excursion. The light is special and transforms this wooden structure into something special- as if it is emerging from the tall grass. I love the purplish tinge of the Tetons. Very nice. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Phil,
I was here about 15 years ago. You did a great job capturing these settlers home with a lovely late day golden glow that looks very impressive against Gran Tetons and silver blue sky.
They filmed the movie "Shane" here in 1954. Jack Palance got the Academy Award for the playing the villian.

Phil, nice work. I know we have seen this before but I think the lighting you have captured here is better than most, great work.
