Photographer’s Note
Our travels through northern Wyoming last fall were a delight given the cool crisp yet clear weather and the stunning autumn colors. This shot was taken near Cody amid the expansive rolling ranch lands of northern Wyoming.

Hello Gerald! How nice the little bit of grass on the side leading us out into the wide open space of Wyoming. The patches of orange and yellow are just beautiful, what a world out here, I see me riding along altough I cannot really ride and normally the horse takes over :))) Simply wonderful, what a great photo ... Hi Gerald,
Been a long ago since i was in Cody, but i remember the road to it very clearly. A vast and beautiful landscape, but i never saw it in these fantastic colours as you have here. That red is wonderful, but also the colourful line of trees what is winding over the hills. Great contrast with the blue...a very good one.

Henk

This is a beautiful rolling landscape with some stunning colours. I like how the line of colours seems to lead the eye right through the scene. You were lucky with the sky with just the right amount of clouds.

Hi, Gerald. The autumn colours are a pleasure to the eye. There is a good mix here ranging from the dark green of the pines to the yellow and orange of the deciduous trees, not to mention the ochre of the prairie. All this stands well out against the sky. Good idea to have included the grassy triangle in the foreground.
Have a nice day,
Philippe

Hi Gerald,
Beautiful autumn colors and a beautiful blue sky and wispy clouds seen over this lovely high plains landscape.
The line of coorful hardwoods cut a lovely twisting line through the gently rolling hillside.
The Cody area has beautiful unique scenery and this is the first time I have seen it in the fall.

Hi Phil,
Stunning work, just perfect throughout from the FG framing of the grassy detail to the colorful line of trees snaking its way into the distance and the contrast of the warm FG with the cool sky.

Bonjour Gerald,
Best regards.
Daniel.

Gerald,
While I love the rich tone and strong colors, but I think this one is either a little under exposed or the filter is too dark, It feel like I'm looking through a yellow sunglass. Maybe that the effect that you're looking for to increase the intensity of the autumn colors, it certainly works but just a little tiny bit too much for my taste, but that is the great thing about this sight, we all have a different taste. I like the open field with variation of green and atumn colors, and beautiful sky. thanks

Hi, Gerald -
I think Way has a point, that this is slightly underexposed. One other thought on your discussion with him, since this is a problem I have all the time: I find that my submissions often look great on my monitor while in Photoshop, but when I upload them to TE, they look darker. I've taken to increasing the brightness a little more than normal to compensate.
I've only been in Wyoming a few times, but this does not look like the usual scene I see there - more vegetation, the hills are more rolling, and especially that string of red-leafed trees is unusual. A very different perspective of the state, at least for me. TFS!
Best,
Dan

Hi Gerald,
Seems the sky blue has suffered a bit here, but on the ground these trees in the middle are very eye catching, they also seem to be building a path to the background.
Have a nice day JY

Very well done composition. The inclusion of the diagonal line at the left bring much more depth and scale to this wondeful landschape.
