Photographer’s Note
Mount Moran, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
A slightly different view of Mt. Moran. Most images seen of Mt Moran are usually shot about 500m further down to road at the Oxbow Bends of the Snake River. The bends were really crowed this morning and I could not find a spot without someone in the image. I like this setup because the aspens are framing the mountain and hiding the bulk of the Teton Range.
Just a little side note - the day after I captured this image the first portion of the first snow storm of the season moved into the region. Needless to say, I never got the classic Oxbow Bend image with the wonderful reflections.

Oh wow, the yellow trees contrast so nicely with the blue and grey of the sky and mountain. Very nicely seen.
It's not always about water and reflections when taking these autumn photos.
I'm not too sure about the slanted ground line here, but the overall shot is so nice I only noticed this after several seconds. I also think an all black frame would look better. (Just my opinion though).
This is a gorgeous photo!

Bonjour John,
Ces arbres aux suberbes couleurs de début d'automne, coupent la photo en deux dans le sens de la longueur.
Buperbes teintes, se marient bien tout en contrastes avec les bleus tendres du ciel.
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Hi John
THe trees in the fall look as if they are the jewellery adorned by the mount Moran .... just my weird interpretation
the slant in the photo, was it intentional or something you overlooked
cheers .... tfs .... sarju

Hi John,
Nice autumn shot off Mount Moran. Like the different layers and colorcontrast. The snowfield on the mountain, just off-centre, makes the compo super. Good use of polarizor.
Well done.

Serwus John !
I've been really waiting for such one from Your recent trip when You'll show us lovely contrast in autumnal tones. And here we got it- absolutely amazing colors, divided in clear lines of browns, yellows, grays and blues. Magnificent ! Overall clarity and shaprness seems to be perfect, use of the polarizer really works!Quality is extremally good.
One thing only - isn't it a bit tilted to the left? I mean - the meadow, or was it taken from a slope?
Anyway, this is Great Work.
Be well John,

A beautiful autumn image John with the yellow aspens framing the mountain and making a stunning contrast with the blue of the sky.
I won't ask about the tilt :o)

Hi John,
Nature's cloak of mirth is what I would give as a subtitle here, as the brilliance of the aspen leaves creates such a light mood and warms the scene. A classic three part composition, with just the right amount of foreground. Perhaps a little less light on the trees, but still a very powerful and successful shot.

This is a good one John. I love this area of Wyoming, and you've captured it well. The aspens are a lovely color and their vibrancy contrast beautifully with the sheer rock face of the mountain. Nice capture.
