Photographer’s Note
Schwabacher Landing, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
One of many photographic opportunities in this National Park. When approaching the Grand Teton NP as a photographic trek be prepared for getting up early since the majority of the grand landscapes need to be captured at sunrise. There are other things of photographic interest that can had during other portions of the day. Wildlife abounds in this park with Elk, Bison, and Moose. During this trip I saw 2 bull moose with rather large racks, a female, and a foal. The moose are really shy and can be difficult to spot and they are generally out of range of most cost effective telephoto lens. The are many chance for intimate landscapes as one walks the many trails and gets away from the highway.

Nicely balanced composition and clarity of detail. Has a postcard-quality feel to it -- I'm sure those early hours were well worth it :) The only thing we're missing are the beaver and/or their dams. Is this the actual name or the pond, or did you see some beaver?

beautiful! Very simple composition, not too 'busy' like many photos i see. Yet incredibly well taken, with respect to lighting and texture. The reflection really gives this shot life. NICE!!

Lovely image John, another classic. Good colours, very nicely composed. Portrait format works well here, emphasizing the sky, where one might usually go for landscape format.

Just replied to your note to me and checked back on your gallery. Thee's absolutely nothing wrong with this one John! This is superb! The reflections are amazing. DOF, lighting, composition all first class. Wonderfall autumn colours coming through. The tree shapes echo the mountain shapes in much the same way your yesterday's barn did. There is a big difference in exposure times between the two posts. Is that the answer?
Well done.

Serwus John !
It is not easy to create a dynamic scenery with its reflection, but You managed very well. Now the light was with You, and You really took advantege of these conditions. Stunning clarity and great depth here. Most appreciated natural colors also. Great scenery, John.
Be well,
Mat
