Photographer’s Note

This is but one example of the stunning autumn scenery we enjoyed on our brief visit this week to the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. This shot is taken at Oxbow Bend with Mount Moran featured in the distance and doubled in a slightly rippled reflection. I will post several other perspectives from Oxbow when we return home. We lucked into two good weather days to enjoy the remaining autumn colors, but snow was in the forecast as we left the park yesterday. Our travels continue...

hello Gerald,
you lucked all right, the shot is fantastic. ice and fire, white snow and fiery red of the trees create a great contrast, and the reflection doubles the effect. the sky with just wisps of cloud is another contrast with rugged mountains, I like that a lot. excellent work, my compliments.

You sure had a fine day out there Gerald. Perfect weather and maybe the best time of the year for a photographer. Beatiful place caught in a perfect exposure. posterlike but attractive.

There's a lot of beauty in this picture which is really emphasized by this outstanding mirror of the lake. The contrast of the warm autumn colours and the bluish surroundings is not to surpass. Congratulations to this photo. You have been at the right place to the right time here.

my first words seeing this picture were "wow, what a colorful landscape !"
I really enjoy these colored trees in front of this famous moutain. The reflections are completing the work by adding the a great touch of perfection to the picture !
Very nice composition also with the clouds.
