The Boot, a photo from Wyoming, West

Photographer's Note

Taken outside the surprisingly excellent Wyoming State History Museum in downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming. This boot, taller than I am, has been decorated with various historical and contemporary designs for Wyoming's automobile license plate. The 1950 on the wall refers to the date of construction of the building itself.

Hi Andrew !

This is an amazing shot on the boot. The colours are sharp and nicely contrasting against the wall of the building. I wish to know what kind of material is the main object made of... Is it a geniue leather? -I quess that John Wayne wouldn't mind to wear a pair of those, custom made to his size in the 50's. TFS !!!

Jeez this has given me a laugh. NY may have Lady Liberty, but Wyoming has The Boot! hehehehe, eh we can't talk! In Australia, we have the Giant Prawn and the Giant Banana! Anyway, a great photo, an interesting, unique subject, lovely colours and excellent light management (I see the light was quite uneven, so you evened it out well).

colorful photograph. One thing I want to know what is the relation between Automobile License plate and " The Boot " memorial about the intention to celebrate or honor the memory of an event, but only by making a replica of an automobile accessory . Beside this have great eye also ...........!
