Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken on the Chehalis Western Trail. This trail used to be a railroad track used to move timber to the waters of the Puget Sound in Olympia to be shipped out. The railroad tracks have been removed in increments over the last few years and the trail has been paved over to accommodate recreational use. No motor vehicles are allowed and it is used by bikers, hikers, people on roller skates, and people just wanting to be out and not having to compete with traffic. The trail is currently about 25 miles long and stretches from Olympia to the town of Rainier.

Andrea, What pretty colors. Thanks for sharing the information about this trail. I was heretofore unaware of it and would like to check it out someday. God's best, Tim
