Photographer’s Note
In the late spring, when the buds of the apple trees are just popping out of the twigs, they are vunerable. Should the temperature forecast for the morrow be unfavourable, the apple farmers will mist their trees so that they are coated with ice. Thus protecting the buds.
These trees are in an orchard located in the West Velley of Yakima.

Hello Roger,
Good discovery. I find it interesting to see how the icecoating transforms this rather simple orchard into a very beautiful photo spot. The composition and DOF is quite unique and shows that sometimes a focus on the boundaries works well.

Hello Roger, I have never seen anything like this before,it makes an interesting picture.
A good POV;I like the sharp focus on the fg trees and icicles. The light catches the ice in the bg, it is beautiful.
The composition with the two trees either side leads our eyes into the shot.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Roger,
Great image. Although we can only see the ice on the foreground trees, we certasinly get the impression that this scene proceeds through endless avenues into the distance - it probably does too! Glistening!
