Photographer’s Note
Every April there's a 21-mile trail run in Washington state's Methow Valley that includes deer trails and cow paths, with stunning views of the Methow River, North Cascade mountains and flower-carpeted meadows and fields. I'm glad I carried a camera along!

Well balanced image. Usually I try to exclude man-impacted details from my nature photos but the primitive road plays well in this composure. The touch of the yellow flowers sloping off is a bonus. Regards, J. R.
