Long gone in Winthrop Photo

Photographer’s Note

Washington has many of those long abandoned houses from at least hundred years ago... It's a true step back in time. No one lives there, yet it is not a museum, it is real, still with soul breathing and living house that is on the way to nothingness... We walked inside to see a simple kitchen and livingroom/bedroom, and we thought about a family enjoying life, a wife who grew large fruit vines all around... Now only this is left.

A very nice old type photo. Really looks like an antique photograph. I wish you can tell us how you came about to this photo effect. There seems to be a lot of blurring effect.

The sepia colouring has a great effect, and so does the vivid description. The blurring is not so great, it does bring a dreamy atmosphere but removes part of the "original old picture" look.

I like your catch of this old house Blanka. I think the sepia works well too. I'm not sure if I like the blur so much, but it still works for me.

I've added this to my theme "ghost houses", if you don't mind.
