Photographer’s Note
Driving along Martin Luther King Way in Seattle one morning on my way to work, I was struck by the dejected pose of this sad teddy bear, ball in lap, which had been placed next to the trash bins. He certainly looked like he'd seen happier times. Maybe the victim of a new video game gift?
I left the teddy bear off-center because the trash needs to command as much (or more?) attention as the bear for the full impact of the photo's feeling.

Hello John
beautiful pic!
This tells much about these days, about our society...even friendship can end up in the trash bin :-(
TFS,
have a nice WE!

A very meaningful image in todays times... It shows the cultural change thats happening in our societies - people get more and more materialistic and human values are traded off..
Sad, but unfortunately very true..

Hello John
No wonder it looks so sad!
Vivid colors despite the low light.
I took note that you took this picture BEFORE the recession!!
Thanks for your kind words.
Robert
