Seattle by Night

Seattle is the most populous city in the U.S state of Washington and the Northwestern United States. The encompassing Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan statistical area is the 15th largest in the United States, and the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle is part of the 13th largest combined statistical area (CSA) in the US. A coastal city and major seaport, it is located in the western part of the state between Puget Sound, an arm of the Pacific Ocean, and Lake Washington, about 96 miles (154 km) south of the Canada – United States border. A major economic, cultural and educational center in the region, Seattle is the county seat of King County.

The Space Needle (185m high), dating from the Century 21 Exposition (1962), is Seattle's most recognizable landmark, having been featured in the logo of the television show Frasier and the backgrounds of the television series Grey's Anatomy and iCarly, and films such as Sleepless in Seattle. The fairgrounds surrounding the Needle have been converted into Seattle Center, which remains the site of many local civic and cultural events, such as Bumbershoot, Folklife, and the Bite of Seattle. Seattle Center plays multiple roles in the city, ranging from a public fair grounds to a civic center, though recent economic losses have called its viability and future into question.

ce n'est pas uniquement au D700 que cette photo est réussie , encore fallait-il un bon photographe .
Je vois que , pendant que certains bossent , d'autres s'amusent ...et tu as bien raison .

Bonsoir Olivier,

De retour d'un petit séjour aux Amériques... pour le boulot je suppose. Pour une photo à mainlevée, chapeau. Une véritable ville lumière, difficile de voir les étoiles !!! Tu as trouvé un bien bon point de vue, bien vu et merci pour la note Olivier.

Te voilà rentré? Je vois que tu en as tout de même profité pour faire qq photos!
J'aime bien cette forêt de lumières. Pour une photo sans pied, tu t'es super bien débrouillé! Très belles couleurs.

Hi Olivier,

Well, you probably had no clear deep blue sky above Mt Rainier, but you had a wonderful view on Seattle. I only passed the city, never saw it close enough to make anything like this, but man i like this view and shot. Technical it could perhaps a little bit better with an f16 and longer exposure, but you didn't had a tripod with you....a pitty (never go without it). But still, seeing this is something i don't have and you do....makes me jealous ;-)
