Photographer's Note

On the way down from the summit of Mt St Helens (8,365') it was late afternoon and the shadows on the mountain were really nice. On the ascent we were in clouds much of the morning but they broke into brilliant (and burning) sunshine. The summit was extremely calm and the way down led to nice glissading.

I figured this shot to be unexciting but appropriate because Mt. St. Helens has recently had a small eruption and now no one is allowed anywhere near the mountain (including the visitors centers). It was nice we climbed it before all of this started.

Comments and workshops welcome.
