Photographer’s Note
My two oldest daughters, Kalina and Alisha and I went for the hike to Falls Creek Falls in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, just 15-20 miles north of where I live. I've only done this hike in the summer in the past and the amount of water flowing was amazing.
Where the trail comes out you can't get the whole falls in your camera view, so this is two photos that I've stitched together by hand. I didn't use the panorama program that I have, so this is the first time I've tried to piece two photos together using just layers in Corel PaintshopPro.
It's a 1.7 mile hike each way, but the spetacular view at the end is worth it. It's actually a three tiered waterfall, but from this point you can only see two of the tiers, even with stitching the photo. The view of the topmost tier is seen just before you get to the end of the trail.

Hi Lori,
It's a idyllic and charming place. I can listen to the noise of the water when falling.
Very nice composition.

Hi Lori,
A well composed shot of these falls. I like the format you chose and the way the eye can so clearly see the upper falls; the DOF is so good its like two separate scenes. You did a very fine job of capturing and presenting these lovely falls, Lori. All the best.

Hello Lori,
I've read about this falls but have never visited the site. The photo is well balanced, and the lighting is as good as could be expected with all the mist that is generated by the falling water. I like the base of the falls with the slight V in the basalt where you chose to end the photo.
Good stitch and image,
Steve

Hi Lori. Boy does that look tempting to jump into on a hot summer day! But they say not to because a rock will roll downstream and land on your head. I think the composition and shutter speed are both just right. I think it's fine having the falls on-center. Very nice take Lori.

Hats off to you Lori;
I'm impressed with your stitching abilities. I've only ever done so using Canon'd Photostitch feature, and even that had 'okay' results (visible seems), your photo here turned out better then my dedicated program!
I like this cropping, vertical panoramas are not too common.
Cheers Lori, keep up the good work!
