Photographer’s Note
Just an old barn, withering away. Taken from the Canadian side of 0 Avenue, which in the Fraser Valley parallels the U.S./Canada border for many miles. Only a narrow ditch separates the countries here.
These types of barns were primarily used for dairy cattle during the late 19th and most of the 20th centuries. The silos were used to store grain and corn (silage) for the farm animals. The more modern barns are of steel construction and typically lack any redeeming aesthetic qualities.

Nice one! Old barns are a great subject. I have some near by and they are so fun to shoot. In this one you got good colors and sharpness. Regarding the composition I would suggest to bring into the frame more from the left and top. The crop is too tight to my taste :)

Interesting construction, one can notice its age from the first look. I think it would be worth while returning to this spot when the vegetation turns bright green, with a tripod, to take a picture in a warm sunrise or sunset light.

Great shot! There is so much detail here. It looks great against the brilliant blue sky. Those bare trees also really add to the old abandoned feeling in this scene.

Nice shot. The high dead brush and and bare trees add to the sense of neglect and decay. Good color saturation and detail but I think you have over-sharpened it a bit and caused some halos. Don

Hi John, This is a very nice shot. You have well depicted the aging old barn. This photo is well detailed. The faded paint and the damaged roof can be clearly seen. The high grass in the foreground indicates that this place has not been visited for a long time.
The blue sky provides some cheerful mood.
A well composed and well taken picture. Well done.

Old barns and other dilapidated architecture are always fascinating subjects... the beauty being you can come back again and again to explore effects of different light and weather etc.
In this image the dull brown tones of the vegitation complement the mood of the picture well. This one might also be good silhouetted against a sunset, if you could find the right position

The frontier (has been a long time !!) is here and you did find it !
For me, a typical view from the West...
Great colors ans shadows...
