Photographer’s Note
We were driving back to Moab from Arches National Park one evening and a thunderstorm rolled in. The sun lit the clouds and provided some spectacular colour. I took a series of shots using a neutral density filter so that each exposure was about 4-5 sec long that way I was able to capture some lightning as well.

Hello Phil,
A weather phenomenon nicely photographed, the colors are splendid and these electric arcs are one more in this tormented landscape. It's a pity that we do not have the sound of the storm !!! Beautiful and interesting photograph, thank you Phil.
With all my friendships and very good Sunday,

Hi Phil,
amazing work, the thunders are incredible. The whole sky is so dramatic! The landscape has anyway plenty of unearthly colors and the dark sky adds even more drama to this shot.
Very good catch, TFS

I agree with everyone that this is spectacular image
In my humble opinion I think it needs a bit of work to bring out the full potential of the image... first I suggest level the horizon, second crop a bit of the foreground the focus on the power & energy (also this image cries for a wide format (9:16 perhaps), add some contrast (to me every image should have at least one full black and one full white to subliminally anchor range of perception) and lastly just a bit of dodging in the clouds...
I hope to take these comments as constructive as this is a magnificent image
