[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I recently posted a wider angle view of this scene which I prefer because it gives a better idea of the size of the cliff, but I have posted this because other members may prefer it. Which do you prefer, and why?

Taken on 35mm @ 300mm.

Quite a remarkable scene Alan, and it's made for an unusual and interesting image. It looks more like an etching, with the snow giving definition to the trees and the textures in the rock. I think it's the snow that adds to the graphic effect; the shot certainly wouldn't have worked so well without it.
I'd have preferred it if the snow had given way to bare rock on the left side of the frame, just so that the snowy portion of the scene was framed by rock before the edge of the frame was reached.
You have to work with what's in front of you though, and I think you did an excellent job.

Cheers,
Ben

Hola Alan,
Me gusta mucho esta composición en la que utilizando tan solo la roca y los árboles nevados consigues una imagen minimalista, muy expresiva y con un gran efecto gráfico. Excelente nitidez, contrastes y texturas.
I prefer this one.
Regards,
Mirari

Hello Alan! Though we do miss the height of the cliff, this photo shows that the dimensions are huge all the same. The tele has brought the wall closer, which adds to the strange feeling of cut-out trees I mentioned in the other post. Very nicely textured and exposed.
For its colours and sharpness, I prefer this one.
TFS and best regards,
Inés

Hello Alan
I have come to this one after the vertical format version. This one is a very interesting image too, and beautiful in its colour and detail. I think, however, that I prefer the wider view for its feeling of scale, and its bolder composition. Both are well worth posting though!
Best wishes Maggie
