Photographer’s Note
How could I not capture this image. Yellow, orange, gold, white, red and green! All courtesy of mother nature!
I wanted to compress the depth of the image to make it look more planar, so I chose a slightly long lens, I did use a filter to try and bring the red values up to how they are seen with the eye. Figured f9 would be about optimal for sharpness of the lens, and let the camera do it's thing.
Post processing was cropping, and ever so slightly playing with levels, and no the saturation was not modified from the RAW settings...

Hi Dana.
An impressive aray of colors:) You are right, mother nature has a way of outdoing what artists, painters, photographers try to do, she plays with a massive palette.
The shot does look a little unsharp.

I like the stripes of colors down the image diagonally. Such amazing colors. The cropping in my opinion makes it quite a unique picture. It's a nice result.
