This picture was taken from an airplane flying from New York to San Francisco. Based upon the time it was taken, it's probably somewhere in Utah. I saw this huge rock formation that resembled a turtle, so I decided to call it Turtle Rock. Just to give you an idea of how big it is, this photo was captured using normal focal length (52mm equivalent) from maybe 30,000 feet up, and it filled the entire frame. No cropping horizontally. I have also posted a different mountain shot taken during the same flight.

Clever shot. Looking at the thumbnail I thought it was going to be a fossil or something. This is way cooler. It really does look like a sea turtle. Great shot.

Hello Lamberto, and as I see this is a version "sans clouds", and what an excellent one above, deserving much more points in my small opinion! I always love the surprises that aerial photography offer and very often you wonder where it could be and sometimes you find it out. Amazing structure and there is certainly not much out here but offering wonderful and surprising patterns. San Francisco is a nice approach and once we overflew the Golden Gate Bridge and the pilot was almost in tears :) telling everybody to look out and enjoy the beauty of flying over, and we all did. Is this your next upload? Happy Christmas! Barbara.

very good composition. Taking the ground landscape so clearly from the air of 10000m is not easy, congratulations!
