At the north end of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is the Sinawava Temple formation and the start of a hiking trail which goes into the popular slot canyon "The Narrows" with the Virgin River flowing through it.
The Zion Canyon Drive is closed to auto traffic between April 1 and October 31, due to congestion. The National Park operates a shuttle bus accessing Zion Canyon. Entry into the Canyon by bus starts west at the town of Springdale, or for campers at the Watchman Campground.

One thing that always grabs me about your amazes is the amazing names of the places you share, they always have such an epic sense and the mere name itself summons up images. And the images that you use to accompany this never disappoint. This is an epic sight. The rock formats is grand and a fine example of the glory of nature. In particular with this scene, I love the skeleton of the tree against the red orange color of the rocks.
Thanks as always

What an impressive huge rock and what a striking red brown colour it has!
It contrasts strongly with the blue sky and the silhouette of the tree (looking like a dead tree) in front of the rock is placed very well.
But I honestly don't understand the meaning of the name 'Sinawava Temple' ...
Best regards, Paul

Just a curious case. I thought that the Zion mountain locates somewhere in the Middle East, in Israel, for example. ;) Thanks for so interesting post, the colors and sharpness are great! TFS!
