Zion has been been a popular western and action movie location. One of the earliest John Wayne starring flicks was The Big Trail, 1930. An early Joel McCrea, Ramrod, 1947. And an early science fiction TV series was Captain Video & His Video Rangers.
Some of my favorites filmed around Zion:
1969 - Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid
1972 - Jeremiah Johnson
1973 - The Eiger Sanction
1979 - The Electric Horseman
1985 - The Jewel of the Nile

Nice scenery. Perhaps not the best light in the BG but I really like these trees.

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see great landscape with large rock canyon, winding small river and the group of tree dyed to yellow. Surely, it looks like one of great nature in Amesican West. I knew firstly the movie "Eiger Sanction" which I have seen before was done by this location.

I was never one for westerns, but I did see the Jewel in the Nile, so there is a connection for me! To be honest, I feel this could equally be used as a landscape for alien movies, as the landscape is so unusual, at least to my eyes which are used to everything being green.
The trees look very unworldly, fascinating shapes in how they are growing here, and the tiny trees at the top of the cliff give excellent aspect to the size of the rock.
Loving learning about this place. Cheers

The yellow trees (aspen?) are very fine against the red rocks and the blue sky. This is indeed a very fine combination again. Interesting list of films made here, I remember "Butch Cassidy et le Kid" as it was named when we saw it in Paris in 1970;)
