Photographer's Note

Utah's Zion National Park size is large at 590 square kilometers or 229 square miles. in this view is the heart of the Park, Zion Canyon measuring 15 miles long and up to half a mile deep. The North Fork of the Virgin River carved through the reddish and tan colored Navajo Sandstone. In addition to unique geology features, the variety of 'life zones' allows for diverse animals, 289 bird species, 75 mammals and 32 reptiles.
