Salt Lake Temple Lights Revisited Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is another shot of the Salt Lake LDS Temple at Christmas time. (I figured it wasn't too late for holiday shots yet). This shot was taken from the Main Street Plaza in front of the temple. I thought the lights were much prettier here than in my previous post. I also used a different white balance setting, fluorescent I believe, so it eliminated much of the greenish tinge of the halogen lamps. I didn't adjust the colors on this at all--the lights were that vibrant. Let me know what you think.

Hello Clark,

I think you did a good job with the white balance. The lights look very natural.
Good perspective showing the height of the temple in the middle of the Christmas lights. Good job :-)

bonjour Clark,
très sympathique cette image de nuit. Les arbres sont bien colorés et juficieusement positionnés pour mettre en valeur le temple.
Ca manque un peu de netteté pour être parfait.

Hello Clark -

This is a well executed image. The WB seems the right choice. Again, I think shots like this should have some color in the sky but organizations don't seem to understand that and continue hold back the lights until full dark. I am kind of at a loss why you used a polarizer on a timed exposure.
