Just meandering through the streets of downtown Salt Lake City one afternoon I spotted the condominium building pictured in the WS photo and was instantly drawn towards it patterned and reflective exterior…so I zoomed in and isolated a section of graphic appeal. I had taken a straight forward approach, but with a helpful suggestion from Krzysztof (krzychu30) to give it a tilted composition, I believe it resulted in a more dramatic visual.
And there you have it, pretty much simplicity in all forms…just an unassuming arrangement that caught my eye, but it did help there was plenty of blue color involved. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

According to my personal and humble opinion you managed to present us a splendid bookmark and an excellently cropped presentation of a building that in itself is not particularly beautiful (my personal and humble opinion!).
But I love what you made of it.
Best regards, Paul

Your tight framing of just part of this building has given a very graphic image with a strong visual impact. I like the repetitive lines and patterns and the reflected sky tones on the glass façade (even if I'm still wondering whether the glass is basically blue or if it's just the sky reflection !). Nicely seen and captured.

Shots like these, Jason, it's often fun to just scroll up and down; the effect is not unlike an optical illusion as the image moves past the eyes. Again, what could have been a static shot is made dynamic by a clever tilt, and the clouds that run through the reflection are excellent, breaking up the blue sky nicely. Cool shot, and great way to take an everyday building and make it new.

Hola Jason my friend from St Lake
What said Andrew happens exactly to me, quite amazing indeed
Sharing your love for blue, understand why you felt attracted by the building and made a good bookmark, cropping and tilting the capture
Good to add some clouds reflections
A super creative capture
Bonne semaine loin de nutella and coca cola

Super-modern dwellings, well shown in the two photos, Jason.
The returning pattern worked well and fabulousely relected the blue sky.

it is just fabulous. I appreciate your sense of framing and sharp eyes to pick up interesting photographic subjects. The composition is superb with those lines and curves, creating a great graphical impact. Love the reflected light and colours too. A very well made photo. Tfs.

Like this shot a lot! Sexy curves and cropped to perfection. Love the blue tones, cloud reflections and the tilt is a great idea as it enhances the effect beautifully. When you look at the workshop image it is amazing to think that these two images are of the same structure. Pure genius!
Hope this has stirred your juices :-/ and you are now going to present us with some glorious down town Phoenix-land shots too big guy, or do I need to jump on a 747 and get you out on the town!
Greetings from the slightly warmer side. B

Superb view up to beautiful building glass facade in very good light. I'd say excellent abstract photo.
The light and blue color tones are very good, the sky reflections perfect. Superb arrangement in long vertical format.
Very well done.

I think this is the best composition from your Trilogy.
Fine cropped image, excellent combination of the lines, colors, reflections... I like this bookmark format, very nice art work.
Have a good night!

Hi Jason - I love the narrow vertical framing and the way the curving lines cross the lines created by the windows. There is a dynamism here despite the static subject, that's down to the diagonal composition and scudding clouds.
Very attractive and well seen.
worldcitizen (9464) 2014-03-25 16:47
Thanks for another interesting facade. :-) I like the vertical crop. Windows that reflect the sky are always nice, and here you captured some fluffy clouds. I like the repetition, too.
Cricri (126824) 2014-03-27 10:45
Tout bon aussi le cadrage qui rend le graphisme réussi et puis la couleur bleu que tu aimes :-)
Passe une belle soirée

Great framing on the blue building. Nice graphical shot, well done!

this is a marvellous architectural picture. Minimalism and graphism are combined in an exquisite way. I'm fascinated by the excellent definition on the lines that characterize the architecture (lots of greek words in this text:) and by the way the sky is reflected on the glass. The rich blue and white tones as well as the rhythmical grey lines enhance the lightness and elegance of your composition. There's a fine, playful dynamism in your tight frame. It's wonderful that this synthesis is the end product of a harmonious synergy with Krzysztof!:) Great work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

I like the graphism and composition! The diagonal and the reflection of the beautiful sky make it a very good shot! Well seen!
adramad (50026) 2014-10-27 10:33
First congratulations for fun and original photo in your profile .... great.
After just say that I love the originality of this composition, these great curved diagonal dividing the floors of the building with the windows gives a nice graphics, also the angle you caught well to capture those clouds reflected in the facade.
Very good brightness and sharpness, with beautiful colors.
Well seen and done better. I like it
Have a good and happy day.
Best wishes, my friend.
