Photographer’s Note
Taken near the great salt lake. There were literally thousands of these beautiful spiders around the lake. This one was a little less shy than the rest.
The photo was taken in macro mode with the lens about 6 inches from the spider.

God macro shot. God colours and sharpness.
I love photos like this. Can you tell me the camera that you used to take the photo, and the shutter speed and exposure.

This is very definatley one of the better Macro spider shots on TE well done, it is clear sharp and well balanced and the spider is nicely in frame.
A few notes on how you treated the pic to post would of been good, but does not take away from the pic.

Good shot Matthew. The focusing is spot on. Did you use a tripod on this one?

Wonderful! Very professional shot. Sharp, great details, grayish environment enhancing the delicate spider colors... very good. These cobweb lines are also playing a nice role to make this composition perfect. Very well done, Matthew!

This a very good macro : sharp, very well composed...I particularly like the very good choice of the DOF here. What's the real size of this spider?

The balance is perfect here (on top of all the prev critiques)the left side out of focus and the right in great focus.
