Photographer's Note

The hotel we stayed called The View Hotel. Every room has a balcony facing the park's most famous and picturesque buttes. In that cloudless evening, people were gathering at viewing deck of the hotel. O boy, I can tell, this place really draws a big international crowd. A lot of photographers with tripods were watching the play of light on red-rock pinnacles.

definitely one of my best preferred place in the USA
Beautiful sunset light on the buttes, making them golden red
IMHO the horizon line is too much at the center. I'd have cropped some of the sky so as to produce a pano format

Hello Tiffany,
superb photo mostly due to the great light - you dealt with it masterly. It makes the whole valley look like on fire and outlines the rock formations even more. Nice, warm colors and expertly chosen POV. I like the small cars on the road which give the sense of scale.

Wow! Awesome capture of this desert scene in my backyard! I think this post just inspired me to visit Monument Valley. Love the lighting and it has good dof with sharp details. I'm glad you included the cars for scale. Very well done, tfs.

What gorgeous light you had here, Tiffany! perfectly angled to reveal texture in these iconic rock formations, and a great burst of warm color. The little road leading up from them, with the small cars, is great fr scale, and you chose a nice panoramic format here. Thanks!

Hi Tiffany,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see Monument Valley which is one of the most famous　natural places for the U.S. The rocky mountain of the strange form stands on the wide plain. It's impressive in the shadow dyed to the plain and the winding road, too. And, the whole is harmonized beautifully by the plain/rock with reddish color and thin blue sky in evening time.

Howdy Tiffany,

Very similar positioning of the magnificient red sandstone buttes I first saw in a John Ford movie with John Wayne. Your sunset lighting is excellent, and the horses have been replaced with modern day horsepower.

questa foto ricorda lo scenario di tanti film western ed incanta per il colore caldo delle rocce che si elevano verso il cielo. La composizione è ottima e la strada che disegna il suo percorso tra la terra rossastra dona un tocco di diversità ed evidenzia l'imponenza del paesaggio.
Belli non solo i colori ma anche il contrasto è quello giusto.
