North Window Arch Photo

Photographer’s Note

North Window Arch, in Arches National Park, Utah. This desolate moonscape, in the arid south east corner of Utah, & not far from Moab, is certainly worth seeing, if you're in the area. Avoid the tourist trap on the drive in, known as the 'hole in the rock'.

Turret Arch & the North & South Windows Arches, are an easy 1.5 km return hike from the carpark.

A nice and natural window showing the cloudy sky. The management of light is perfect as well as the sharpness. The texture of the rock and the colours are really interesting. Utah is an attractive place that I would like to go. Good work!

The rocks are framing well the sky. The point of view is allowing us to distinguish the details and colors of the arch. It is clear and sharp. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors of the scenery. have a nice day.

Hello Chris! Just the other day I looked at my pictures from this area but my orange is not like your orange, again all about light. We had a lot of overcast moments but also very sunny sides. Fascinating to see your version and what the light did to the stone. Great one, very powerful, yes it is an interesting park although you can find arches outside the park as well but let's hide them :))) Happy weekend, Barbara.
