Photographer's Note

There are so many sandstone buttes and monoliths within Valley of the Gods, that many are not named. I thought the top of this huge monolith looked like George Washington's profile?

Valley of the Gods is protected by government's Bureau of Land Management, and there are no services or any type of commercial operations here, which makes for a perfect au natural experience. A 17 mile dirt road winds through the landscape devoid of civilization. There are no designated campgrounds, but you may camp by following the protection rules. The Valley is located in southern Utah between Highways 163 and 261.
