Photographer’s Note
As those who have been to Bryce Canyon know that each vista point has a name, Inspiration Point, Sunset Point, and so on. When I arrive at this location to enjoy and photograph the sunset, when I arrived, I saw everyone one were in pair intimately enjoying the sunset, I thought to myself, Is this a Valentine’s Point or Lover’s Point? Can I come here just by myself, or can I come here with another guy friend? I believe this is actually called “Inspiration Point” and it is very inspirational. I stay back for a little while, not really want to disturb them, and I remembered to take a couple shots.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

hi Way,
well, I think that "inspiration point" is one of the most abused names in USA to call such a viewpoint. the problem is that the above name is the only suitable one for places like this.
btw such a magnificient landscape is actually perfect for some romance

Hi, Way.
This is really, REALLY nice and most original. A totally different look at wonderful Bryce : an upward perspective when standing... on the rim!, three couples at sunset and just a hint of the place in the background. All of which, of course, wrapped in your usual impeccable presentation, with Bryce Camel as a great complementary WS to show us the magnitude below... Terrific job, love it! Have a good weekend, my friend. I'll be seeing you.

Hi Way,
Happy Valentine's Day to you as well. I like this shot with the beautiful canyon view in the background. The couples give a great sense of scale to this place. Haha, it makes me wonder if you can go there by yourself...you may look a little out of place? Great work!

Hi Way, Valentine Day is not from our tradition and actually I do not like it. But perhaps I post also something tomorrow:). Very creative photo of the Bryce Canyon. I was there during the day, fearing the precipies so without romance mood. Interesting scene, elder couple and two young ones. Splendid sunset colours. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Warm regards

Hi Way,
A complete different view on Bryce and how i like to see that. Only in the far background we see the Hoodoo's standing on fire in this wonderful landscape, but you included some people with a very romantic touch to it. A very refreshing photo, something else than what we usual see from that place....very nice work.

Oh dear, this is just WONDERFUL! I love the different couples of all ages and for those who ever stood here know how it is to stand at one of these points at sunset, it overhelms you by the beauty and I guess many people stand together not speaking much but enjoying these views but also being grateful to be close to someone, happy that you can share this moment with a person that speaks the same "language" (literally speaking of course) and understands what you mean without words. Simply wonderful and a brilliant idea to show other sides, a romantic side of this place. Happy day for you too, I hope it will be a special one! Barbara ... sitting in the snow ...

Hi Way,
in fact something different than the normal postcard Bryce images, therefore I like it a lot because it`s always difficult to bring up something new of these places, which have already been photographed a thousand times before. And you manged that remarkably well. Lovely light you have here, colors are striking and these couples add so much to the image, a wonderful scene, very well done!
Take care

Hey Way,
Whoooahh...nice work, well placed subjects, the irrisistable background and unique foreground just makes a pleasing pov with stunning results! The light is very 'inspirational' one can sit and watch the scene changes from light to dark that is. You are blessed seeing such places like this Way!
Have A Great Weekend!

I always thought that scarlet red is the colour of romance, but I have to say that the pale pink and cool blue work nicely as well :) strange to see the people in what I don't believe is a typical hiking clothes, majority of the photos here create a feeling that Bryce is difficult to access and it requires great deal of effort :) cute shot, I guess that's the best way to describe it :)
best,

Hi, Way,
Well, I continue to be deeply impressed with your camera work. You visit wonderful places. You recognize with profound clarity highly photogenic scenes. You capture them with a powerful level of technical mastery. It's a great combination! And since you have a gallery approaching 200 photos, I can look forward to a photo per day for half a year!!!
In this one, what immediately stands out is the clarity of the people in the foreground (3 couples!) combined with the clarity of the distant bluffs. The lighting conditions are remarkably different for these two parts of your frame, and that would pose a great challenge that you have effectively overcome.
Overall, the composition is interesting and a bit surprising. All the action happens in the lower half of the frame. Here, you have wonderful balance, with the three couples well distributed on the left and the bright distant bluffs on the right side providing the appropriate visual counterweight. All that is well done and yet rather ordinary.
The surprising part is that the upper half of the frame has little going on, and yet it somehow complements the lower half nicely. (Cover up the lower half of the image and view the result. Pretty seriously dull!) Somehow the cloud layer at the top of the frame, stretching across the whole width, pushes the viewer back nicely to focus on the action in the lower half. On the other hand, I think if you had cropped off the upper half of the frame, that would also have produced an excellent result.
Regards,
- Bill
