Arches National Park contains the world's largest concentration of natural stone arches.
In some areas, faulting has exposed millions of years of geologic history.
There are hundreds of them, and they come in every shape and color imaginable.
The fiery red against the cobalt blue sky, especially at dawn and dusk are a photographers dream.

Ciao Ale,la scelta di scattare da questo punto ha fatto la differenza,non penso ci fosse miglior modo per immortalare e far capire a chi non c'e' stato questo stupendo posto,complimenti per l'alta quaita' dei colori e dei dettagli,buon weekend,Luciano

Bellissima questa immagine, Ale.
Questo è un luogo che spesso ci mostra Fulvio (fulvio52).

Noto comunque una piccola sofferenza circa il contrasto.
Ti ho fatto un WS dove aumento il contrasto e schiarisco leggermente le zone in ombra, dando colore.

Fammi sapere cosa ne pensi!

In verità oggi mi aspettavo di vedere la foto con la cornice nera, come accennatomi ieri.

Hello Alessandro! This is a pretty honest way to show the arch (or one of the many arches in the area) as most - like me - leave out the steps :))) and show the area as it probably not is, but once was. Something like that. But I find your version really good actually, with the long leading in and it somehow feels like walking on the little path myself finding the best spot for the picture. I really like your sky with the white stripes floating along. Very good indeed. Happy weekend, Barbara.

ecco che torniamo all'America...
commento la composizione perchè l'arco ovviamente è "fuori concorso": mi piace la scelta del formato verticale che include il sentiero che porta all'arco e che dà un buon senso della profondità (ne ho visto altre di questi archi che invece risultavano piatte...) e allo stesso tempo il bel cielo con i cirrostrati. - Infine non posso trattenere una osservazione: so che tu sei contrario a interventi di post processing ma sono sicuro che con un lavoro minimo venivano fuori colori più brillanti... sì, lo so, fiato sprecato! (:-
