Photographer’s Note
Antelope Island is for an inland lake island reasonable size, and this image was take from the north peak towards the south peak and Buffalo Bay. The name is legitimate as there is a herd of buffalo that roam the island. As for the Antelope, I have never seen one there. Remember, that water is really salty. Except for brine shrimp, I don't think anything lives in it.
If I could have ordered some mid summer thunderclouds I would have done, but my trip out produced some pretty bland skies.
I wanted to keep detail in even the deepest shadows, and placed my exposure accordingly, the Tri-X Pro has a very long toe, and is quite forgiving if there isn't too much flare in the camera and lens to overshadow it's capabilities.

Dana,
What can I say? I like this pix, and it's a relief to see that your order for clouds wasn't a godsend. I was feeling you had the maker's ear. But the dark foreground, angling to the right sets up the mountains and their great detail. I often don't include the distant mountains, which I find in your shots adds great depth to the pix. Is the far right of the pix darker than the left? There seems to be a scanner-induced exposure change, which I have experienced on the 3200. Or is this on the neg?
