Photographer’s Note
As my daughter and I were exploring Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake near sunset, the colors of the water and the way it had a two-tone look, along with the birds floating, made me want to take this shot. I'd never seen water this color before. I think the birds are coots, but was not able to get close enough to firmly identify them. I'm also not sure if coots ever float around in salt water.

Really beautiful colours and contrasting textures. I'm afraid I think there's something missing, though. Maybe a bird or two flying nearer the camera - then it would be perfect.

Man did I hunt to find this again - out of points and thought I'll come back - 9 pages!! Looks like "golden coots" - lovely golds, again alchemy at work like in Omar Khayam.

This is different and refreshing. I would be tempted to crop the bottom and get the same proportion as the gold water part above. I really like this one David. Happy Hollidays.

I've been to Antelope Island! What an incredible place. I'm going back to Utah in a couple weeks and I can't wait to snap more photos.
Excellent shot here, very relaxing.

indeed, David, nature seems to be a vain woman, and she poses for you. :)
