Wouldn't it be wonderful if it looked like that outside right now? We've had a nasty inversion recently, and today was the first day you could actually see the mountains. It was like seeing them for the first time. A lovely reminder of what I have to look forward to in the spring when it thaws.
This shot was taken as I descended on the Alpine Loop into American Fork Canyon, the same day as my previous post and a little farther on the Loop. I thought the colors were gorgeous and that the clouds accentuated the mountains quite well. It was a bit bright at first, so I brought the overall brightness down and brought up the contrast some. Critiques, comments, concerns--all are welcome as always.

there's so much to look at my eyes are hurting.. colours, lines, detail and composition. the hard rock with the soft cloud and autumn reds with spring greens facing each other. there's a nice trail of red/orange along the mountains too. all round fine job. well done!

This photo has great color and lighting with excellent composition.
The use of the polarizer was a good choice. The red trees add a lot to the shot.

Hi Clark, I take a nice photo with great saturated colors and light. But I think it is a bit unfocous on the middle peak.

Beautiful saturated fall colors and great blue sky. Nice shot! TFS.

This is a superb use of a circular polarizer; the sky and the vegetation colors look just great.
I also like the diagonals in the image and the red, jolly bushes:).
As an idea, I might have tried to use something for the upper side of the foreground, something like a tree branch, a rock or something else, just to give more field depth.
Thanks for sharing.

I like this one more than the previous one for the little clouds in the sky. However, both views have a good framing and sharpness, and a very large diversitiy in colors. I especially like the patches of red/rust color among the trees.
All the best,
