Photographer’s Note
The hill in the BG was named Red Hill. I wonder why :))
It is located at the Painted Hills unit of the John Day Fossil Beds in Oregon.
I am now posting on TL as well so my participation on TE will probably dwindle due to time constraints. However I would like to thank all those who I have met online and who share the same passion in photography.

Hi Phil. Great landscape shot, the inclusion of the trees give the scale needed for such scenes. Wonderful colours and nicely balanced composition. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good Sunday, Paul.

Hello Phil,
Well, I see that you are following in my footsteps, or is it that I am following yours? A different perspective than the one I chose this time around of Red Hill, but irregardless, this is a great shot showing the angles and multiple shapes that are seen in this general area of the hillside. I hope you ventured far enough to see the Hedgehog Cacti blooming just beyond the hill.

Hello Phil! This really seems to be an interesting corner and the more I see the more I want to visit but I guess you heard that before and all of us are fascinated by this unique spot. Love the lonely tree in the middle of nothing, a true survivor. So you are leaving for TL, I will miss your work and words but we all go our directions these days and I wonder where mine ends when it comes to photography. I had my own website for a long time, maybe I'll take it up again, we will see. All very time-consuming for sure but I do not have to mention that, hey? Take care, and don't forget to upload every once in a while, also on TE ... Barbara.

P.S. I hope it is not the beginning of the end for you on TE because you are on TL!!!!!
Best regards
Denis!

Hi Phil,
Rich unique colors and lovely textures to these wonderful rolling hills.
It seems you enjoy your visits to the dry side of the mountains.
I to am considering moving to TL, so it is good to know I will find an old friend there. This site seems have lost what us long time members found so compelling.
Warm Regards,
Tom

I remember Red Hill from our time there. I like the creative framing here almost making an abstract.
Good vision

hello Phil
this scenery has a very abstract and graphic quality. It is very simple yet truly evocative of these grandiose settings.
