Photographer’s Note
Taken in the orchards of the Hood River valley, north of Mt. Hood. This is a beautiful area, and I had done some scouting earlier in the day and found this little pulloff with a lovely view of the valley and Mt. Hood in the background. When I returned for sunset, Mt. Hood had clouded over. I was very disappointed as this was my last evening in this location for my trip. I have quite a few shots and compositions from this location, and the light was constantly changing. In this particular one, the sun is just hitting the foreground trees, and patches of the background. Like I said, this picture would look great with Mt. Hood in the background but I am still fond of this capture even without. A beautiful area and a beautiful end to a day. Canon 5D / 24-105mm. Polarizer and 2stop ND grad on sky.

Hi Ben,
spectacular view of the hills, rich of colors and details. It almost remembers me my country.
Well done!

Hello Ben,
This is a really well composed shot of a beautiful landscape. Judging by the breaks in the cloud over the FGF and the little spot in the left distance, I would have expected a little more brightness and contrast. I tried an adjustment in a workshop and wonder what you'll think.
