Cape Blanco

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a photo of the lighthouse at Cape Blanco just North of Bandon on the Oregon Coast. On this day my husband and I were driving to Bandon and decided to go see the lighthouse and of course take some photos. The thing about Cape Blanco is this....5 miles east of this historic lighthouse on Hwy 101 it was hot and sunny and an amazingly beautiful day....once we drove about 2.5 miles we could tell that it was dramatically different at the lighthouse and sure enough we were not dissappointed. The wind was blowing steady about 50 miles an hour and we could hardly stand up. The funny thing is that we were in my favorite beach car. A convertible 1990 VW Cabriolet! Of course we had the top down....it was quite hilarious and people thought we were NUTS! What they don't know....we really are nuts! hahahaha!
Remember to have adventures....and keep your camera handy!
Take care! |

Hi Bettina,
Fog shrouded lighthouse, I can smell the salt air and feel the humidity. I really like the tiny keepers house with the red roof.
Regards, Tom
Hello Bettina
It's a nice idea, you can work on the levels, i think, to make it a little bit more poetic.
I tried it, but the size of the picture is too small.
A bientôt

Hi Bettina,
Excellent shot of the lighthouse in fog.Great pov and beautiful composition of nature with architecture. The soft colours is give peace of mind.Tfs and regards,
Hitesh
Bettina this is a nice composition. The lone figure sitting outside the house is almost a ghost in such fog. Very nice perspective under the conditions to give the lighthouse a misterious theme. Thanks for sharing :-)
