Toketee is a Native American Chinook word meaning "Graceful". And the Falls tumbles over basalt columns, dropping 36 meters in two tiers, along the Umpqua River. Today the water flow is controlled by a dam creating nearby Toketee Lake on Oregon Highway 138, east of Roseburg. A third of a mile hiking trail leads visitors to this spot.

Hello Ray, a beautiful image with the perfect angle to see beyond the actual falls. On the way to Crater Lake and the North Gate are you?

Beautiful falls, and a great sense of power in the rushing water. I am glad for your note to give the sense of height, I would have thought this was smaller than its impressive 36 meters. It looks almost as if water and light is pouring from the rocks, you timed this perfectly!

Hello Ray, a fine image of the waterfall being nicely framed by leaves. Good choice in a vertical format. It has a double drop.

Great name! For a great place. The POV is exquisite and I'm happy to hear that it can be reached by a not too strenuous hike. Excellent vertical frame, superb colours and control of the camera settings. I probably would have applied a graduated filter in post or in-camera, to even out the over-exposed area at the top of the frame. Beautiful work, thanks for sharing.
