Photographer's Note
This was taken on the worst day I have ever experienced at the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds near Mitchell, Oregon. The temp's were cold, the wind was blowing, and there were the clouds rolling in and soon after a monstrous rain storm lashed the complete Central Oregon area all the way back to Portland. But, one great item came about this day, the colors popped out of the landscape and attached themselves to my camera, and then all was wet.
This image was stuck away in a file that I had not seen to date...

Hi Steven
a soft image inviting to poetry, with lots of warm hues. I would have removed a big part of the sky.
Kind regards

Hello Steve,
Again, the vivid colors of this place, in contrast to the cloudy sky and the mountains in the background.
Magnificent view and excellent light and detail.
Best wishes,
Charo

Hello Steven
Always a pleasure to look at the painted hills and here I really appreciate the contrast between those in FG and the ones in BG. With the water, it reinforces the peaceful feel which is well conveyed here!
All the best
Marilyn
