[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Peter and I began our day by venturing into unchaRTERED TERRITORY FOR ME, EVEN THOUGH i HAD venturedto a small region behind these hills you see in this image. As we eventually found our way around the hillsides we began a journey through time as we meandered along the creekbed between two massive hillsides and discovered that there were petrified trees breaking apart in the bank erosion areas, and that there was amber lying in piles where the trees once stood. Ine the workshop I will post an image of the hillsides, the dark yellow spots are the positions of the trees thAt once climbed to life before they were unindated with a massive ash deposit sometime either during the Eocene or Miocene Epochs.

What a shame - for me this has been over processed or compressed and there are too many artifacts to enjoy it. (and it looked like the original is fantastic).

I notice the file size is only 32k - if you set it to just under 200k the result will be so much better. I use photoshop's "Save for Web" command to get this to happen.

Hope this helps as these desert pictures look superb & very interesting.
