Photographer’s Note
Taken somewhere along the Oregon coast near Newport, approximately 20 minutes after sun set. I think the exposure was over 3 minutes, on Kodachrome 64.

absolutely exceptional,
cant tell what i think about it as for me this is not a photo which one should analyse deeply, its a pure joy, i can see this photo on as a wallhanger in an ambient music club or something similiar,
i am deeply moved by the ambience of this image,
best wishes, j.

Beautiful impressionistic image. No need to look for flaws, they ARE the image.

Ciao Animesh,
Beautiful picture.
The clean contrast among the blue/black and the endless tones among Blue/White make this dawn fascinating.
Marco.

Hi Animesh, nicely composed with this nice blue tone, I especially like the beam in the middle of the picture, well seen...

Stunning vision, Animesh.
I'm slowly getting to the point of understanding the art of photography BEFORE the photograph is taken.
Slowly because I'm kinda slow.
Slow as to enjoy the moment longer.
Slow as of my jaw drops and I gaze, and gaze slowly.
Slow as the Debussy's Light of The Moon slow.
Animesh, you're a great visioner as opposite to me -pragmatic 'four feet on the ground' sort of a brute.
Sunny Sunday you've just earned

Dont you have a word to show what may be done
Have you never heard a way to find the sun
Tell me all that you may know
Show me what you have to show
Wont you come and say
If you know the way to blue?
Have you seen the land living by the breeze
Can you understand a light among the trees
Tell me all that you may know
Show me what you have to show
Tell us all today
If you know the way to blue?
Look through time and find your rhyme
Tell us what you find
We will wait at your gate
Hoping like the blind.
Can you now recall all that you have known?
Will you never fall
When the light has flown?
Tell me all that you may know
Show me what you have to show
Wont you come and say
If you know the way to blue?
Nick Drake, Way To Blue
Sorry Animesh to borrow the words of somebody else to critique your photo. But I just could not find the right words... I just hope you know the music and the unmistakable voice of Nick Drake...

Hi Animesh,
A shot from 20 years ago... what a vintage... and what a lovely vintage!
You have captured a beautiful moment and a mood that goes down deep within. The blue of the sky is so cobalt, so deep, it cannot fail to move me...
a lovely work!

Hello Animesh.
Incredible color. The Kodachrome colors are so evident, an almost metallic blue...fantastic. I love the distant mood created by your shot, the lone light at the top of the lighthouse pierceing the night sky. Amazing control of exposure; otherworldly shot.
Regards,
Chris.

Very surpriding photo from you Anymesh. Pleasant surprise.
In 1986 I was in high-school ;o) and was stealing cartoonish images from my mates .. Nasty boy ! I would exchange 50 of them for this beautiful bleuish photo, so good to the eyes.
Cheers, Alain -

Hello Animesh da,
This is awesome. The blue tone is simply wonderful. The silhouette is great. Nothing much to say after so many wonderful critiques.
Shubho Bijoya.

What a beautiful photo. Deep blue with only this white point... saving point. Well done

Wow, what a treat an old Chrome from the 80's - your Animesh touch is there already though - were you doing mostly color back then? Lovely touch to this one, reminds me of the final frames of "The Passenger" by Antonioni...
Best,
Francis

Hello Animesh,
Perhaps not too sharp, but actually the atmosphere the picture creates is better like this.. Excellent POV and monochrome blue and black, for me this already vintage Kodachrome is a prize winner ! Izzet

It's just lovely; the smooth curves of the rocky silhouette, and the light streaming across the blue hour sky. I selected the photo because of your comments that you might see me in SD. I was trying to figure out if you live here or plan to visit. Let me know about your plans.

Hi Animesh!
I like this shot. The lightened sky looks as it was lit by the powerful light of teh lighthouse. So hopeful and cheering. The few colours used are just about enough here.
Regards,
Seb
