Photographer’s Note
This is a view of the climber's hut on the Cooper Spur route up Mount Hood. There are at least 5 different huts on the slopes of Mount Hood. This one is on the northeast side.
Mount Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon (11,237 feet, 3,426 m) and popular with skiers, hikers, and climbers. It is 45 miles east-southeast of Portland, Oregon.
The starting point for Cooper Spur trail is the Cloud Cap Campground at 5850', the top of Cooper Spur sits at 8514' although you can climb 500' futher up to "Tie In" rock at right around 9000'. This hut is at about the 7000' level on the way up and a good resting spot.

Peculiar rock/hut/rock composition!! Not sure what to make of it. Symbolic or random?

Hello Lori,
I like the photo as your choice of the entrance into the scene by the flowers and rock leads your eye into the shelter and then further out of the image by the slopes of Mt. Hood.
Good, crisp photo...
