Photographer’s Note
I’ve been up this mountain several times during my life and absolutely loved each trip. The top of the mountain is 9,495 feet above sea level. This shot was taken from Lake of the Woods just outside of Medford, Oregon.

Hello James,
Welcome to Trekearth. You have a highly distinct technique with the silhouettes in B&W. I would love to see a few lines of information about Mount McLaughlin. The photograph, however, is compelling.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi James
Wonderful silhouette, your POV to capture the reflection in the lake, the pier and distant lights creates a good composition.

Great shot, James. I believe that the coor version shoud be great, too, but I b/w is an excelient choice in this case.

James
Un noir et blanc dépouillé mais d'une grande beauté (malgré le "grain" un peu visible dans l'image)

Hi James and welcome on TE,
fantastic B&W shot you did ! very deep and strong. Good composition too. i like the way we have to imagine the elements (the pier...) thanks to a lack of detail.
