Bonjour Shane,

This is a well composed pic. The slow shutter gives an intersting foggy style to the water. B&W is a good choice here.

This shot has a great mixture of realism and abstraction...the trees display realism, but the stream of the river creates the feeling of a void that separates the two banks of the river...

the way the creek bisects the image seems in this wonderful conflict with the diffusion of the rest of the image.
