Photographer’s Note
Another shot from the Zumwalt Prairie in NE Oregon. Before you say it's overexposed it's supposed to be. I rather liked the watercolour look here and I only applied levels to the road itself to bring out the texture of the gravel.

Hey, Phil,
this looks pretty good for a year old shot...:)))) The road leads in beautifully and I like the fence lines on both sides and the way it curves in the distance. Wonderful composition and I love how perfectly balanced it all is. I like the color, too. Like Karen said, it gives a kind of dreamy effect. Nicely done! Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

Hello Phil,
Fantastic perspective and composition of this lonely landscape. I think you need a bit of definition and contrast, but the idea is good and has great depth.
Best wishes,
Charo

Hi, Phil.
You'll hear nothing but praise from this here ol' boy. A dreamy shot, one that literally oozes Oregon, stunning watercolor-like quality and terrific atmosphere. I call this artistic license, and like Machiavelli used to say : the end justifies the means. Most certainly so in this specific case, TFS! Have a great day, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

Hi Phil,
Very pale and soft colours that actually emphesized the feeling of a painting, in stead of a photo. A very fine composition with the hill at one third and the hut at the other. The road leads the eye into the picture.
Kind regards

It's a very clever shot, Phil. I like it. The cabin serves as a good counterpoint to the peak, and the colors a subdued in the manner of a water color. Well done.
Warm regards,

Phil, Hi;
Very nice work, amazing landscape. Looks a little like the Sandhills of North Central and North Nebraska. Only difference is our fense post are a great deal further apart than those. Thanks, very much for your wonderful compositon.

That's an interesting corner of Oregon which I so far only visited once, but definitely plan to return to (after I revisted the SE end). Here I like the lonely rural road and landscape.. while I like the painterly feeling, a tad more sharpness wouldn't have hurt.

Suprise with the exposure result showing artistic effect, good pov and good perspective to frame the house, road and background view, thanks for sharing a view in fantastic color just like in the dreamland.

Hi Phil. I’m surprised no ones done a WS to bring out more colour contrast and detail ;-). Well composed with good depth and perspective. The subtle and pastel effect is well rendered and adds a nice atmosphere to the scene. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hi Phil,
The painterly appearance is what drew me from the thumbnail -- and I was NOT disappointed.

Hi Phil,
Even though over exposed, exposure is in the eye of the beholder ( or some such cliche!)
I like the dreamy quality and creamy pastels, and the road leading the eye into the distance.
Good job,

Hi Phil. I sort of lost you on the radar and was thinking that you might be unwell and then on visiting your page i see that you have been quite active. Nice effect here which complements the vastness of the scenery and I presume the disposition to lose the sense of the Self in a place with few reminders of where you are, have been to or are heading for. Regards. Klaudio.

Phil, I finally have the opportunity to say, "I'm not really sure about this one" (not that I have been waiting with digits poised or anything!) about one of your pics. What's good to me is the fact that you went for it and tried something different. I really like the comp, but the whole thing looks "wrong" to me. Perhaps it's the magenta (predominantly in the clouds)...? But, that's me. Thanks for sharing the idea though. Best, TW

I don't know why- but I just had the theme from the 'Littlest Hobo' enter my head! hahaha
Okay, so I'm not going to say it's 'overexposed'... I'll just say that I prefer a bit more 'contrast'. I do have to somewhat agree with TW in regards to magenta though.
Nice shot, but not one of your best ones in my honest opinion ;-)

Excellent view of the simple road, which apparently leads to wonderful places. I like the vastness and 'infinite' of the shot. Congratulations!
