In the distance are the walls of crater lake and the lake's unusual water color .... at 9,000 feet. A tree seems to develop differently at this high altitude. I really like this tree's shape. There is still a balance, colors, and root system ... an interesting tree.

un arbre impressionnant par sa dimension et par sa forme tortueuse. Bien observé et bien cadré avec le lac en arrière plan

Your picture is made in very high quality.
These tree is extraordinarily, almost dead but with green branches.
A splendid picture, with a lovely background too.
Sharpness and clarity are pleasant to look at.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

Incredibly twisted tree. Great work of nature.

Very beautiful composition from that wild place. The old tree is surely impressive, a lot of history in it's roots.
Have a good weekend.

this is a lovely close up of the most interesting of trees, sharp and exceptionally clear it`s a fantastic shot.
Whilst the BG gives a good idea of the environment, I wonder if you took a wider view of this unusual specimen for us to enjoy...
Kind regards Les.

Certainly one of Nature's 'tough guys' surviving the harsh environment on the rim of Crater Lake, and nicely presented, gnarled & twisted, including the faint view background of the Lake.

What an interesting tree, captured with perfect quality! The colors and sharpness are excellent, and so is the framing, with the mountains in the background giving good depth to the image! Wonderful composition! Perfect job!

This old tree has done so well to grow in such challenging conditions. And what an unusual and beautiful tree it is. Excellent textures and definition, a lovely shot all round.
Thanks for sharing

You know what, this tree just reminded me a bit that I saw in a movie called Jack the giant slayer - the roots and the twisted branches. Excellent frame of that tree- as if it's growing up up up to the sky. Must be too much fairytale I've been watching.
Great looking tree too....in this harsh altitude.
Thanks 4 sharing.
