The water color in this photo is actually the color it looks ... a kind of blue ink color. The altitude also makes the sky seem more blue as well. Crater lake is about 7500 feet up and is a filled crater to an active volcano. The last eruption was about 8000 years ago where the top of a 12,000 foot volcano sunk ... leaving a large hole that is now filled with water and is the deepest known lake. A unique place.

Great shot of this magnificent looking tree on the edge of the lake with the mountains in the background . Excellent composition with magical lighting. Avery interesting note on how the lake was formed.

Unique Crater Lake scene for including the ancient pine tree, still alive after major damage.
Certainly the Lake is one of Earth's most unique and worthy of preserving forever.

I love the composition of this photo. The lines and angles are very interesting and enjoyable. The background is in good focus but the crispness of the tree in the foreground truly give it fantastic depth-of-field. This photo deserves to be hung on the wall. Congratulations.
