Vidae falls is found along the rim of Crater Lake, Oregon. It has a lovely flow and fall ... with a large plash into the rocks, then cascading almost 150 feet more. The falls flow from a notch in the lava, and are edged with the brilliant green of ever-moist vegetation. Being August, the falls have less water, mid summer melt from snows are almost gone. The splash still has a nice burst formed from the free falling drop above. Overall the photo is not over sharpened, the splash naturally looks this way.
Over the next days I will share some nice views of Crater Lake ... a most unique place.

Beautiful view of this little waterfall. There's nice variation of vegetation from spruces on the left to smaller plants on rocky slope. I like that bib splash after the first plunge. Good off centre framing and exposure on variable light.

a nice view here. Like the waterfall at middle. Great greeneries in surrounding area. Like the contrasting colours a lot. May be a bit over-sharpened but I like the overall presentation. Tfs.
