I will open the series with this particular scene that I took while standing on the roadway looking back at the main feature of the Clarno Unit's Lahar Wall.
This is not the first image I took, though I feel that it is an excellent image to begin with.
In the workshop I will post an image I took at Shaniko, a ghost town along the route to Clarno.

My meagre collection of Clarno images are here:
Clarno Unit gallery
I have left a slot in my gallery space to add images of the Painted Hills and Sheep Rock Units when I get them. :)
Looked at your Shaniko images. I thought Shaniko a disappointment as a ghost town, it is mostly touristy, but I think there are probably lots of opportunities in that area for photographing old buildings if you keep your eyes open. The only building I really like is the one about a mile or so south out of town. Here is that gallery:

A marvellous blue sky, & excellent choice of a vertical format. Good sharpness, & a splendid color contrast, betwen the red rocks, & blue sky. Tfs!

Beautiful place. The rock, the blue sky suits each other. Your day was good. Good work. From the ghost town we Hungarian our dead person. Seeing would be good.

I have looked at the WS and this brilliant composition. This is a well captured landscape. The details in the fg is stunning with excellent details. The tree makes it more complete. To top it all, you have gorgeous blue sky which contrasted well with this unique rocky fg.
