Photographer's Note

The City of Cannon Beach is located on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon, 80 miles (129km) west of Portland and 25(40km) miles south of Astoria, Cannon Beach is surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of forests, ocean beaches, and rivers.

With the distinctive Haystack Rock and Needles marking its shoreline, Cannon Beach is one of Oregon's quaintest and most picturesque destinations. Nine miles (14.5km) of beach make a perfect setting for strolling along the seaside, or in this case, stepping out into the calm tide and taking a few pictures looking back towards the shore.

actually there is a simple but also a very soothing composition here. the natural colors are contributing the target of the shot, i believe.

A very appealing image. It would be perfect for a brochure or promo of these style apartments.
You got plenty of light and colours, and did an excellent composition with the sea at down, the arrengement of buildings and sky and trees.

Hi Jason, I see you were on time back from a low-tide sea, after taking this beautiful scenery pic., and managed even a small reflection on water.
The moment caught when the man and kid taken a stroll along is most enlighting factor on this lovely photo.

Hi Jason,
Very nice scene, the man with the dog certainly reinforces that this is a great place for a stroll, but those houses catch my eye. Would to be one who has the cash to live in a house like that on a beach like this. Very nice scene, and nicely captured.

Hello Jason,

I like this image combining different elements, human, animal, architectural and natural. The image is well constructed with the space on the beach giving deepness and allowing for reflections. The light enhances the colors and gives good sharpness for an image of quality.

During the summer have to this here are a extraordinarily place, for a vacation on this beach.
Nice white sand and sufficient space, also for to make a good stroll.
A nice village image, with excellent depth and perspective.
Excellent captured, lovely panoramic composed.

That looks like a very pleasant place to live indeed. Beautiful contrast between beach and forest with some great stately homes inbetween. I suppose it is not the cheapests quarter for owning property.

Nice peaceful spot, Jason - looks like a beautiful place to live, certainly, or even spend a weekend. The presence of the man walking the dog works nicely here too. And those northwestern pine forests sure do start up quick off the coast!

Good idea to shoot this from out in the water a bit. And a clever title as well :)

And this one seems nice and peaceful:)! Good pov! I like the sky and the light, but what I prefer the most is the reflection on the water and the persons walking with the dog. Good capture!
